Glory, glory

The beauty of these lands lies partly in the language that represents them. Landscapes, mindscapes, they reflect each other. Making waves, a ripple effect! Verbal geographies that speak to us of sense, direction, lay of the land…

Culturally and spiritually, the physical world lives on in what we say and know. Just think of slippery slopes; water under the bridge; going with the flow; into each life a little rain must fall…! You’re at a crossroads, all bogged down, snowed under; there is a long, long way to go… Can you muster the courage to plough on? See the wood for the trees? Make headway? Turn the tide on it?!

Whatever the weather, there will always be a word of comfort, ingrained and part of habitat. Clouds with silver linings, stepping stones to higher selves, great oaks from little acorns grow. There is beloved wisdom all around. And far, far more than poppy appeals, this will outlast, outlive, outwonder.
